Short Curriculum Vita:

• 1987: finished school, went to the army more or less by default;

• 1988: started studying "Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft mit Nebenfächern Informatik/Psychologie" (ASN) at the Seminar für Sprachwissenschaft at the UniversitätTübingen;

• 1991-1992: spend a year at the Centre for Cognitive Science at Edinburgh University;

• 1994: got my first degree with a thesis on "Unification-based ID/LP Parsing";

• 1995-- :
  • employed in Project A8 of the SFB 340;

  • employed at the Seminar für Sprachwissenschaft, Arbeitsbereich Theoretische Computerlinguistik;

  • dabbling in system administration, UNIX and programming.

• 2001: got my PhD with a thesis on "Two-Step Approach to Natural Language Formalisms"
